Hey there, so glad you are here. My name is Sabrina. I am a teacher by training, a passionate mother by day, and an inspired forgotten lifestyles educator. I am so blessed…. I have a wonderful husband named Nate; 4 amazing kiddos named Jagger, Crew, Larkin, and Ridge; 2 dogs named Jet and Blitz; and 60 chickens with lots of different names. My family is the LIGHT of my world, I vision cast for them!

The last 10 years of my life has taught me many valuable lessons, and those lessons have inspired me to create Welcome Home Momma. I am here to share those lessons with you, and I pray they may serve as a spark that takes your small ember of inspiration and turns it into a raging fire of living into the forgotten lifestyle that many women aspire to live. No longer will fear, stress, and unknowns hold you back. Fear exists in the unknown. I personally faced identity struggles as I left working with my husband in the chiropractic business we started together to stay home with my kiddos. As I was trying to figure things out, I faced immense loss as we experienced a miscarriage our 5th baby. While it has been a journey, and I am excited to share vision work, identity work, and grief processing work with you. My prayer is my story, and our journey may create a bridge of knowledge that allows you to walk into the lifestyle your heart yearns for. Cheers to chasing your dream life through vision casting!

Welcome Home Momma was inspired from life experiences in the avenues of birthing, schooling, home steading, and home growing our food and family. But before I talk about these forgotten lifestyles let me tell you how it came to be! All these topics and lifestyles were conversations my husband and I have had through our 9 years of doing Vision Castings together. We started by meeting back in 2015 at a coffee shop with a blank document, that’s it! We didn’t have a workbook, questions, or anything we just started talking about different topics in our life and I documented it in a word document. One question and conversation led to another one and before we knew it, we were visioning what we wanted our life to be like together, thus creating our vision in harmony. Now each year we set time aside to review and have more conversation about our vision. Doing this Vision Casting has been vital in making sure we are on the same page. This essentially has been the reason all our visions and conversations back in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, etc. ARE COMING TO LIFE! We had to vision and put in the work of having conversations to get things started and be on the same page! It has brought us SO much harmony, joy, happiness, congruency, and forward thinking that I had to create a guide to share this lifechanging workbook with others! My prayers are that it’s as impactful for you and your family as it has been for us.

Home Birthing – Our first birth was hard. Really hard. We desired to have a natural birth, and we did….but not without birth injury to me and health struggles for our son. Our last 3 births have been beautiful home births. I believe that we have forgotten that birth is meant to be joyfully experienced and woman deserve to be empowered to believe in their body’s ability to birth naturally.

Home Schooling – I was the daughter of a teacher and trained as a teacher and taught in the public school system for 3 years after graduating from college. Those years of teaching opened my eyes to the challenges that children face in traditional school. I also had an issue with certain topics being taught in school as they conflicted with our biblical based value system we hold. I believe we have forgotten we are called to serve as the educators for our kiddos.

Home Steading – 2020 was eye opening. In the blink of an eye, your ability to provide basic necessities for your family can be taken away. Grocery stores closed, companies were shut down, and people were forced to stay home. There were so many emotions felt during this time, one of which was fear. We recognize that God is our ultimate provider and protector, and we are not called to live a life of fear. We have not pursued homesteading from a place of fear but rather from a place of “man, I’m 35 and I don’t even know how to grow a vegetable”! That reflection inspired us to pursue homesteading. We recognize that there will always remain some level of dependance on others for needs. While at the same time, we desire to learn forgotten ways of raising animals, growing food, learning trades, and finding joy in the simple pursuit of self-sustaining practices.

Home Grown – God has blessed us with our 4 beautiful little humans and it’s not only my calling to raise them into amazing adults but more than that I want to raise them into Christ centered, loving, and supportive husbands and wives someday. I want to parent and model generational shifts in how we show up and live out the Fruits of the Spirit for generations to come. What better way to do that than to be home with them being slow and intentional yet, able to create memories in working hard, traveling, and laughing along the way. I believe there is a ying and yang to being slow and finding time for travel experiences. I feel we have forgotten just how short the time we get with our kids really is and I want to soak in every minute I can before we release our little arrows out into the world.

Remember it all starts with Vision Castings, clear communication, and understanding with yourself and family.
